New Patients

Welcome to Wildflower Wellness

Beginning care at Wildflower Wellness is designed to feel simple and unhurried. Some people arrive with a clear concern. Others simply know something feels off and want support. You don't need to have everything figured out before you schedule.

What to Expect at Your First Visit

Your first session is longer than a regular appointment because we take time to actually talk. Before any needles, we go over your health history, what's been showing up in your body, what's been going on in your life, and what you're hoping to shift. Nothing is too small to mention. Often the details people think don't matter turn out to be the most useful.

From there, I'll share what I'm seeing through a Chinese medicine lens, what patterns I notice, and how I'm thinking about your care. Then we move into treatment. You'll leave with a real sense of what's going on, why, and what we're working toward together.

Where Most People Begin

For most new patients, New Patient Acupuncture is the right starting point. It includes a full intake conversation and a hands-on treatment session. This is the best fit if you're coming in for pain, nervous system support, hormonal concerns, digestion, stress, or anything that feels chronic or layered.

If your primary focus is skin health and facial rejuvenation, Cosmetic Acupuncture can be booked directly as its own new patient visit. If you're interested in hands-on bodywork without acupuncture, Fire Cupping and Facial Gua Sha are available as standalone sessions.

If you're navigating something complex and want a dedicated space to talk through your health history, labs, or supplements before committing to treatment, an Integrative Consultation may be the better place to start.

Not sure which fits? Reach out. Choosing the right starting point matters and we’re happy to help.

How to Prepare

Wear comfortable, loose clothing. Access to the arms, legs, and lower back is common, so layers you can roll up easily are helpful.

Eat something before you come. Not a heavy meal, but arriving on an empty stomach can make you lightheaded during treatment.

Plan to arrive a few minutes early for your first visit so you have time to settle in without feeling rushed. Your intake paperwork will be sent ahead of time so you can complete it at home.

Avoid caffeine immediately before your session if possible, and try to give yourself a little buffer after the appointment rather than scheduling something immediately after.

A Few Things Worth Knowing

Sessions are calm and quiet. You'll be on a comfortable, heated treatment table in a private room. Most people feel deeply relaxed during treatment and a little slower and softer afterward. That's normal and a good sign.

Acupuncture works cumulatively. One session can offer meaningful relief, but the real shifts tend to happen over time as the body learns to regulate differently. We'll talk through what a realistic care plan looks like for your situation at your first visit, without pressure.

You are always welcome to ask questions, change your mind, or tell me what isn't working. This is a collaboration.
